If you look at historical maps of New York before the Marshall Plan of 1811 that created the city grid, you will see that a significant amount of plots, infrastrucutre, homes and buildings were built over rivers, streams, canals, estuaries and wetlands that criss-crossed the boroughs, especially in Brooklyn, and are now concealed but tend to re-emerge during unusual heavy downpours such as this.번역 보기
