Why not, I'll just drop it here. I've tried to create a game where you are a cosmic horror. You set up a group consisting of spawners around your main character and go to the adventure. You roamed a massive map and destroyed everything on it, took prisoners and gathered buffs and other things in limited time. Then you had to go back to your camp where you decided how to put captured ones to work. They generated fear, pain points which boosted your future runs. The map had a lot of gates where a massive difficulty spikes were, so you had to grind a bit and then create a perfect path collecting the buffs just in time to have an army capable of breaching the gate. Then a new spawn on the other side of the gate was persistantly unlocked. The game failed mostly because of my problems with optimizing it and respawning army vs the time limit were eating themselves. The theme was totally different, but the general gameplay flow looked similarly to what you are building. Maybe you might find it useful/inspiring in one way or the other :D번역 보기
