"Open, tolerant and generous"...Me (34, British) and my wife (32, Taiwanese) are planning to move to the UK after a decade working in East Asia and Europe as I have a new job at a university. Both highly educated. Yet we need £88,500 in the bank to do so, with an extra > £6000 for the application then another min £5000 for deposits and rent. How can we be OPEN and GENEROUS for talent when we are putting young, working people under such financial ruin? When we moved to France for my job, the government provided my wife the same rights as myself, the VISA (called Passeport Talent) was €100 and we both worked and contributed (a shit load of tax). We can't run the country by making the UK such an undesirable place to live, denying talent just because some skinheads and their frog leader want someone else to blame.번역 보기
