FYI, most "fresh" salmon at the grocery store was previously frozen and thawed for sale in the case. It's the only way they can make sure they are selling "fresh" fish that isn't degraded. Fresh wild or farmed salmon sold in Georgia markets or grocery stores is shipped in from distant cold-water regions like Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, or international fisheries (such as Scotland or Chile), so frozen is the only way it can be shipped to you.
