The old men are the members of the Orange Lodge, a protestant organization. Each summer the various lodges march all over Northern Ireland, during the so called 'marching season '. As Catholics, the Quinns have decided to cross the border into Donegal, in the Republic of Ireland. Donegal is actually in the northern part of Ireland, so it is 'northern southern' Ireland. Confused? You will be.번역 보기

Oh god, this episode. For context, this is a march the pro-protestant faction would do every year through Catholic neighborhoods, just to intimidate them. And historically they weren't particularly civil about it, but any violence would get swept under the rug. The family is running from their home for a reason. Only Derry Girls could make something like this funny. Also "punt" is Punt Eireannach, aka Irish Pounds. It's the currency they used before the Euro. Edit: I'm so sorry Diegesis, I didn't mean to spark a comment war, but I should have known better.번역 보기
