Back in 1992 I pulled the Frank Thomas Elite card out of series 1. I cannot express how difficult those things are to hit. I spent so much money busting packs trying to hit an elite card. The pack collation wasn't great because I remember the Diamond Kings being located in the same spot in most if not all boxes...so much so that when our local card shop owner would open a new box he would dump the packs out on the counter and mix them up and return them to the box in a mixed up order so customers couldn't go straight to the packs containing the Diamond Kings. At the time it was a huge deal pulling a card like that. They talked about me in that shop for a while. Sadly I ended up trading the card at the Houston Sports Card Show shortly after pulling at .
